Welcome to our comprehensive online course on bottle introduction for breastfed babies! Our course is designed to help parents and caregivers navigate the process of introducing bottles to breastfed babies with ease and confidence.

-When to introduce bottles: Timing is important when it comes to introducing bottles to breastfed babies. In our course, we discuss the ideal age to start offering bottles (unless they are medically needed sooner), as well as factors to consider when determining the right time for your family and your baby.

-Ways to offer a bottle when breastfeeding: Breastfed babies may be hesitant to take a bottle, but there are ways to make the transition smoother. We cover techniques such as paced bottle feeding and offering bottles during various times to help your baby develop their bottle feeding skills.

-Who can offer a bottle to baby: It's not just mom who can offer a bottle to a breastfed baby! We discuss how to involve other caregivers in the bottle feeding process, as well as strategies for ensuring consistency across all caregivers. We also cover how to support mom in maintaining her supply as bottles are introduced.

-Positions and techniques for bottle feed breastfed babies: Breastfed babies have a unique feeding style, and we cover techniques and positions that can help mimic the breastfeeding experience during bottle feeding to help them be able to go back and forth between breast and bottle.

-Preferred nipple shape, flow, and bottle brands: Not all bottles are created equal! We discuss the different types of nipples and bottle shapes, as well as flow rates and popular brands to help you choose the best option for your baby.

-How much milk to offer: Knowing how much milk to offer during bottle feeding can be tricky. We cover guidelines for the amount of milk your baby needs as well as tips for adjusting the amount based on your baby's hunger cues.  Overfeeding with a bottle is a common occurrence we want to avoid so mom can maintain her supply and continue her breastfeeding journey as long as she wants.

-Cleaning and sterilization: Proper cleaning and sterilization of bottles is essential. We provide detailed instructions on how to clean and sterilize bottles, as well as how to troubleshoot common issues.
